Not Everything Needs to Be a Side Hustle

Mar 7, 2022

In the society we live in, many people are finding ways to make money off of their hobbies and create side hustles outside of their daily job. The push to make money from our hobbies is so frustrating for me.

Yes, it would be nice to make money off of things that bring me joy, but as soon you attach an income to your hobbies and have to deal with orders, shipping and creating merchandise it takes the fun out of it.

I love my job, and I love design, but I have to admit working on design stuff for 8 hours a day does not make me want to do it outside of work. I want to paint, embroider, crochet and create things because I want to do it, not because I have a million orders to get out by the end of the week.

I don’t want to grind or go from my full-time job to my side hustle every day. I want to make enough to live off of and spend my free time doing things that bring me joy. I want to live simply, and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with wanting that.
